Along with the rapid development of information technology, many companies haveestablished their own information management system to improve the management. However,data sources of these information management systems isolated from each other, the mannersof data storage vary. It is difficult to achieve data sharing, which may generate so calledislands of information. Along With the rapid development of enterprises, departments withinthe enterprise are not the only ones who need collaboration; collaboration among enterprisesis also demanded. In response to these situations, there have been many methods and theorieson data integration produced. Although existing data integration technologies have solved theproblem in varying degrees, many of them are either too inefficient or complex to apply toproduction. To improve the system efficiency and reduce the system’s complexity, proposinga new data integration solutions based on the original data integration system has asignificantly practical meaning.We integrate the current popular XML technology and JavaBean technology into thetypical data integration middleware system and design a middleware frame based on MOFmetadata mode, to propose a data gateway model of shielding multi-data source.Firstly, the author studies three kinds of typical data integration architecture and analyzestheir advantages and disadvantages. The author designs a middleware frame, to propose a datagateway model of shielding multi-data source. Inquires decomposition device, inquires device,wrapper and MOF metadata model make up of it.Secondly, each key component in the data gateway was designed in detail. Data gatewaycomprehensive utilization of the powerful and the advantages of cross-platform of descriptionof the XML language ability design of MOF metadata model using XML configuration file.And will be a standard format for heterogeneous data exchange is selected as the XML fileand then focus on research and analysis on the global query decomposition algorithm.Finally, the author uses Synthesis Query System as an example to verify the validity ofthe data gateway model, and analyzes the performance of the system.
