With the development of inertial technology, interference fiber optic gyroscopestrap-down inertial navigation system (IFOG SINS)has been widely applied in navigation,guidance and control system of the various weapon platform of marine,land,aviation andaerospace,it becomes the core device of modern weapon systems,and also is becomes theimportant sign of weapon modernization level。This paper deeply studies hardware platformdesign of IFOG SINS,because it is one of the key technologies of IFOG SINS.At present,the hardware platform of IFOG SINS generally based on DSP+FPGA structure,the problemsexist in the hardware platform are:more expanded chip;complicated design;the contactamong them is not enough closely,and difficult to coordination.Aiming at these problems above,the thesis present a hardware platform design planbased on FPGA,with PowerPC405processor embedded in Virtex-4FX20chip as the core ofhardware platform,the function that system needed,such as data acquisition,dataprocessing,data and program storage,communication interface integrated in a signal FPGAchip,and design a floating point unit for PowerPC405processor in the chip,the ability ofdata processing is strengthened. The main contents and innovations of this dissertation werefollowing:(1) According to the analysis of system’s requirements,designed the hardware circuit ofIFOG SINS. Data acquisition circuit,configuration and storage circuit,communication circuithave been designed on the hardware platform.(2) Based on the hardware circuit designed system on-chip for FPGA. On the chip,designed gyro and acceleration data acquisition module,storage and communication interfacecontroller,floating point unit for PowerPC405processor,in detail introduced design flowand download process of system software.(3) Completed hardware platform basic parameters testing,simulating and debuggingvarious functions module of hardware platform,at last,summarizes the performance andindex of hardware platform of IFOG SINS.
