Transmission speed and the reliability of the transmission seems complementary toeach other, one fully achieved, on the other hand is almost hard to realize. The objective of thesystem requirements remain the only factor to make a choice between the reliability and thedata speed on such conditions. In this context, this thesis deals with the key wirelesstechnologies such as Spatial Multiplexing(SM), Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) andTime Reversal (TR) technology. The goal is to enhance the data transmission rate of the system, without no additional bandwidth and power requirements but equally maintaining the Bit ErrorRate (BER) performance into considerable level.MIMO with spatial multiplexing technique is used to reduce the transmission time, hence enhancing the data speed, without additional bandwidth and power requirement. TheBER performance of such gained data speed is maintained by the use of time reversal techniqueby exploiting its proven features such as temporal and spatial focusing.Spatial Multiplexing in MIMO system gives data transmission gain on one hand and onthe other hand the perfect channel state information at the transmitter side in time reversaltechnology helps provide pre-adjustment in data sequence which leads to a better immunityagainst the Rayleigh faded channel. Hence, gain in data rate along with bit error rateperformance is achieved.
