This paper starts with the present situation of mobile platform at home andabroad, gathers and analyzes the development prospect of different mobile platforms,brings out the innovative research thinking on the field of music and mobile platform,completes the planning design,system development and implementation of musicbrowsing application which is based on iOS platform.This paper researches and practices the new interdisciplinary application in thefield of music, using multi-format music as research object, basing on the analysis ofthe development prospect on different mobile platforms, with the help of increasinglyimproved technology of picture, pdf, MusicXML and the other format documentsreading parsing and rendering on windows and iOS platform, taking the concept thatsoftware products should have modifiability, validity, reliability, understandability,maintainability, reconfigurability, adaptability, traceability and interoperability asguideline in software design. This paper firstly designs music sheet browsingapplication and each function modules of its auxiliary software in accordance with theMVC pattern, and realizes them on iOS platform and Windows system respectively,upon the analysis of what functions the music browsing application should have andthe software framework design. Then paper presents the application test running result,and analyzes it. Summary of our work is given at last.Professional musicians often have to carry a lot of music sheets to travel, paperscores, however, are not easy to carry, to find, to read, or to be annotate. However, theexisting applications cannot satisfy the demand of users, due to their drawbackincluding single function, poor available file format support, and so on. And in mostof them, the MusicXML file is not supported, which is highly used in a lot ofprofessional music software. That makes the existing applications get a badcompatibility. The research result of this paper also presents that those mobile devices with high-performance computing power will be more popular than desktops andlaptops in the future. Research on the implementation and promotion of mobileplatform applications in various fields may become one of the main directions of thecomputer information industry inevitably in the future.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is introduction. Thischapter introduces the research background of this paper, the present situation ofmobile platform at home and abroad, the main work and organizational structure ofthis paper. The second chapter is technical background. This chapter introduces therelated technologies. The third chapter is software architecture and design. Thischapter details the architecture and design of this paper’s resolution. The fourthchapter details the implementation of the core function. The fifth chapter presents theresult of test running and the analysis of it. The sixth chapter summarizes the work ofthis paper, and prospects the next step work.
