At present, EPS is widely used in automobile, and the performance of the toeque is very important for the EPS. With the development of integrated control of automotive electronics, integrate measurements of steering torque, angle and their direction into a single sensor is a inevitable tendency, meanwhile, traditional contact measurement will necessarily be replaced by non-contact ones. Lower cost and easier measurements of the sensor will promote the development of EPS greatly. Therefore, proposing a structure to meet the requirements and making some research on EPS are very necessaryFirst, magnetoresistance of semiconductor components and its basic principles will be introduced in this article, and the design of torque sensor and angle sensor is based on it. According to currently products on the market and the ideas put forwarded by some R&D institutions, we analyzed their advantages and disadvantages and proposed a new method and structure.Second, designed conditioning circuit for the EPS-specific torque and torque sensor. Designed special differential amplifying circuit and RC filter circuit outside the single chip computer。 And designed software based on ADS1.2integrated development environment, realized the function of further filtering and diagnosing faults of sensor signal by software。Finally, the self-developed EPS-special sensor will be done some experiments on the car-special EPS test bench. And the test results will be compared with the ones of domestic and foreign mature products. Then, analysis whether its performances satisfy the basic requirements of loading on EPS.
