Because of the important application in the laser color display, laser measurement, high-density holographic storage, laser printing, and laser medical of the high-power solid-state red of laser has been widespread research focus. With the increasing demand for the application of the red light, higher requirements have been proposed, such as output power, repetition rate, and beam quality and pulse width. With the deeper research in red laser, the higher technological demand emerge in output power, repetition-rate, beam quality and pulse width, which make the research of LD pumped red laser has more profoundly practical meaning.This paper the670.7nm red laser has been obtained using the LD side-pumped Nd:YAP crystal by the way the Q-switched lightning through single stage amplifier achieve1.3μm laser output and the Ⅱ Temperature matching is LBO extra cavtra double frequency(1) The related equation of energy density in signal light, the amplifier gain and extraction efficiency are calculated, which is basic on rate equation of pulse amplifier. And effects of amplifier output energy have been separately discussed.(2) In this paper, nonlinear frequency multiplication theory is studied systematacially. We choose a suitable nonlinear frequency conversion crystal and calculate the best match temperature of the frequency doubling crystal. The focus system is optimized by researching and designing the temperature control device.(3) In theory, the effect of the output power of the fundamental frequency laser beam quality, nonlinear frequency conversion crystal temperature and the extra cavity compression schemes on the conversion efficiency of red light had been studied, and then, corresponding curves are also given by method of using MATLAB soft simulation.(4) Based on the theory analysis of unit technology, experimental research has been carried on. When repetition rate is4kHz, pulse duration79ns,557mW red laser at670.7nm is obtained.
