Substrate Integrated Waveguide technology is a brand new kind of wave guide structure proposed in recentyears, which could be integrated in the microwave dielectric film with low insertion loss, low radiation,high-power capacity and other characteristics. First of all, similar to the micro-strip line, it can be processed veryconvenient with relatively low cost, and easy to integrate with other active or passive devices; second, itstransmission characteristics inherited many characteristics of the rectangular waveguides, Such as low loss, highquality factor and high power capacity. As the substrate integrated waveguide structure is to form two rows ofmetalized through-holes on the microwave dielectric substrate, different kinds of technologies can be selected inthe actual production process, such as PCB technology, LTCC technology and thin-film circuit technology.Aiming at the problem that the size of single-layer board SIW passive devices are somehow too large, the paperhas focused on the multi-layered board microwave passive components. Main tasks are listed as follows:1. single cavity multi-mode filters, focused on a kind of rectangle Dual-mode filters, which utilized the smalldifferences between the length and width to perturb the EM field and excite dual-mode. What’s more, anotherkind of Dual-mode filter designed by the author is introduced.2.The study of cascaded Dual-mode filters: specified in the cascade problems in rectangle Dual-mode filters,including the cascade in the same plane, and in the layered form in which bringing up the idea of connectingneighboring layered cavities with metal post and hole. compared the advantages and disadvantages of thesemodels,in addition,this paper make a detailed analyzes of the effects of each parameter. in the end,put them insimulation.
