In recent years, with the exploration and research about mysterious underwaterworld, underwater vision technology is being increasing attention of researchers of allcountries, whether in the military, marine development, marine geographyengineering applications are playing an increasingly important strategic position, especially, robot vision technology and underwater photography, televisiontechnology has become an important part of marine development.Laser with high brightness, short pulse, quasi-straight high, etc., become animportant means of technology for underwater observation. Laser detecting sets oflaser technology, communications technology, signal processing and recognition, andelectronic technology is one that has broad application prospects. Research anddevelopment of the technology, be a very important value whether in the theory or inpractical application. In addition, the laser system will theoretically detect a largerblind spot. Technical further development will be limited to excessive size, weight, power consumption. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the underwater laserimaging technology, underwater image of the cluster light is necessary. This paper analyzed and summarized the single-point laser triangulation andtwo-dimensional laser scanning principle, proposed the technology of target depthdetection based on the linear laser triangulation, different depths with differentgray-scale coordinate distance to said, It is a technology of directly access to thethree-dimensional information of the target by two-dimensional image.Tested toverify the validity of the theory. Discussed some aspects of the system needs to beimproved and the outlook for future applications.
