With the improvement of living standard, the demand for insurance is growing; the insurance market is gradually matured. Personal insurance agent system (PIAS) has played more and more important role in this process since it was introduced in China in1992. It is different from the employment system, with different incentive and appraisal system. Based on the increase of the agents, how to manage this growing and complex group effectively and properly becomes a key issue for the insurance companies. At the same time, an effective management needs the backup from information technology, especially the software. In this situation, agenct management information system (AMIS) was established. As the perfection of the management on agents, the AMIS, especially the AMIS for some large insurance companies turns to be more and more complicated. The AMIS, which based on B/S structure of distributed, multi-interface-oriented grows to be more and more mature and the study for it is also further and further. The WEB MIS is the extension for the traditional MIS, and it could be used not only in the management of daily affairs, as the implement to query and maintenance of the system in the remote, but also can be used for high-level decision-making.This article analyses the related technologies for the implementation of the AMIS, from the utilization of foreground functions to the selection of the background development technology, from the foreground cross-system communication technology to communication technology between background systems, finalized the application of GAP for the foreground development, PRO*C for background development, WebService for the foreground systems communication, TUXEDO for the background communication, the MD5algorithm for preventing of tampering. Thus it presents the technical basis of the design for software designers and developers. The article also describes software requirements of insurance agents, including functional requirements, interface requirements, non-functional requirements and other requirements and design constraints. Besides, this article gives out the design from the point of logical architecture, physical architecture, development architecture, the processing architecture, data architecture, the key quality attributes, performance and security design. Among them, it focuses on the logical architecture design, and discusses the realization of actual cases in detail, the implementation for key features, including management practices, staff organizational structure, income and expenditure assessment in the MD5control, as well as clarifying the concurrent processing of non-functional requirements to achieve the realization of the efficient interaction of heterogeneous database data, and performance optimized.In this paper, it gives an improvement for the parallel program processing efficiency in multi-branch insurance companies. By dynamically setting the index of wage and assessment, it solves the problem of lacking flexibility. The storage of application system, the validation of key system parameters and anti-tampering technology strengthens the ability to control the branches; the efficient interaction of heterogeneous database technology helps the large insurance companies, especially some with historical reasons, to realize the exchange of heterogeneous database data; performance optimization technology enables the implementation of the entire system more efficient. The AMIS has contributed to the insurance company to improve management efficiency and management level.
