After many years of construction and development, the capacity of CDMA network has reached a level in which it is able to bear70million end users and is able to covered most regions across China. Meanwhile, the network of CDMA IS-95has already been smooth updated to CDMA20001Ⅹ successfully. This technical promotion was considered as a crucial step for the transition of mobile-communication networks from Second generation to third generation, and was regarded as a foundation for complete Third generation network. From now on, mobile communication business will not only focus on telephony service but also turns more attention to data service.However, compare with IS-95, the planning and design of CDMA20001Ⅹ is more complicated. It is a challenge for engineers and technicians to provide ideal cover, credible voice and reliable data services. In this article I stated the development of CDMA technology, and introduced the network structure, interface type and the Network element function of CDMA20001Ⅹ system. I indicated crucial factors which will affect service through a series analysis of CDMA2000IX telephony services in terms of the following performance index such as error frame rate, drop call rate, success rate of call establishment, blocking rate, data transmission rate of data service, bearer capability, resource utility ratio. Meanwhile, I also analyzed impacts towards network which emerges in a construction process by studying project cases and optimize the indexes of pilot frequency pollution Transceiver power, carrier-to-interference ratio, and jam situation via Metric Drive. According to the optimizing result, we analyzed the effect caused by index adjustment during network optimization and gave suggestions of optimization for CDMA area where telephone traffic is centralized in terms of the flowing approaches-carrier frequency dilatation, Cross frequency assignment, data Rate limitation, and modification of DO overload index.Though, network optimization is not the main business, along with an increasing demand of customers, it has now become a new growth point in wireless network industry. Network optimization is considered as a broad concept, the relevant concrete operations include air interface technology, network hierarchy and so on. In order to realize it, a related higher level operational control, networking protocol is required. As a result, in this situation that CDMA20001X will be established sooner and CDMA2000EV-DO is under progress, networking optimization become much more important.
