Optoelectronic technology has become an important means of obtaininginformation for communication and identification with the development of socialinformatization, and it is used in the military, industry, agriculture, culture and education,health, science and all aspects of family life. Based on the optoelectronic technology,the studies of opitical retro-indetification and pipeline detection have been carried out.1. The application and research of optical retro-identification system have beencarried out.Firstly, the concept and classification of optical retro-modulator were introduced.The cat’s eye retro-modulator system and its simplified structure have been theoreticallyanalyzed. Emulation of piezoelectric device has been conducted by finite elementsoftware ANSYS. The analysis of resonance frequency and displacement property ofpiezoelectric device have been completed.Secondly, the cat’s eye structure retro-identification system has been designed; theOptical Retro-reflector Access Control System (ORACM) has been realized by thesimplified retro-modulator structure at the same time.Thirdly, the performance index of ORACM has been tested, including the bestworking frequency, the preferred operating distance and the transmission rate of thecode; the function of ORACM has also been completed. The code rule of key has beenset.Finally, the necessary circuit, the structure of the key and the lock interface of theARACM have been conceptual designed.2. The pipeline detection system based on optical method has been developed.Firstly, the basic parameters used in pipeline detection are illustrated. The pipelinedetection system based on optical method has been established.Secondly, the pipeline detection system based on optical method has been built.Research and development of optical path and circuit have been completed. Theexperimental platform of the pipeline that simulated by PVC pipe has been built. Thirdly, the verification experiment has been completed according to the pipelinedetection system of optical method. The conclusion is that this system could effectivelydetect inner surface defects, according to analysis of test results.Finally, the concept design for application has been carried out based on the actualneeds of the pipeline detection. The circuit and mechanical structure required by theoptical pipeline detection have been designed.
