Retro-reflector is abroad applying in the field test, because of its detection reflection property. It can increase operation distance and precision of system. But characteristic parameters of retro-reflector directly affect tracking system performance. So according to demanding for target tracking of weapons test, the characteristic of target, atmospheric transport, photoelectric detection system were analyzed. Three sides of a three-tier channel hemispherical laser corner retro-reflector array is proposed, which can achieve the long-range precision of low-altitude movement target in the field test.The content of the thesis mainly includes the following aspects:(1) Analyzing the composition of airborne movement target laser tracking system, it includes launch system, target reflector system, rang detection system, position detection system and control system. Range and angle technology of airborne movement target tracking system were analyzed.(2) According to work principle of airborne movement laser target tracking system, the operation distance of target tracking based on retro-reflector was established. The effect of tracking system performance was analyzed, such as atmosphere, laser system, photoelectric detector and reflective property. Finally, the numerical simulation was done. The result shows the operation distance increase with the decrease of laser diverging angle, the advance of sensitivity of detector, the increase laser power, the enhancement of atmospheric visibility.(3) Optical property of ideal retro-reflector was researched. Geometry optical property of retro-reflector was analyzed based on the method of optical vector. It includes paralleling to the total internal reflection, the internal light path, the optical path, and the effective area. The effect of angle and surface to the far-field diffractive of comer retro-reflector was analyzed, and the model of the far-field diffractive of corner retro-reflector was established. The research of this part provides a theoretical basis for subsequent design of retro-reflector.(4) According to characteristic of moving target in low-altitude, a hemispherical laser retro-reflector array is proposed, which can achieve no blind signal reflection under the target posture changes. The array dimension is ofφ119mm×88.8mm, a composing of 15 retro-reflector prisms, and is divided into three layers. Each layer has the five retro-reflector prisms. The hexagon tetrahedral of retro-reflector prisms was designed. Its margin, effective diameter and height is 27.5mm,26mm and 19.5mm respectively.(5) The model of retro-reflector prisms, retro-reflector array and other parts were established with solidworks. Finally, the structural design of multi-channel hemispherical laser retro-reflector array was completed.(6) Angle error of retro-reflector and parallelism of retro-reflector were tested with the method of precision goniometer and photoelectric quasi collimator respectively. Array bind test was carried out in user units, and the flight test shows the design is rational. The results meet requirements and the test shows the design is rational.
