Based On The Android Platform Network Television Set-top Box App Store Design And Implementation

Android as a mobile operating system platform, which developed by OHAleading by Google Inc has become the most popular software development platform,through five years development. Android has its unique feature such as open source,free, customizable and the most important is that it has a large mount of applicationson android market. The release of Google TV which based on android3.0has takenAndroid into traditional television area. In fact，Android has become the standardoperating system for intelligence, network TV. At present, there are two kinds of TVbased on android: all-in-one android television and Set-Top-Box based on android OS.But android STB has its own advantages. There is no need to change the original TV.There are a lot of Android software not suitable for STB, including AndroidMarket product by Google, and there is no special optimization and customize for TV.So, it is a trend that more and more TV producer customizes Android software for TV.This thesis will introduce the application market system for STB TV, which based onandroid and designed for custom developing software services. The client of systembased on a STB which has transplant a standard Android Software Development Kits,use java language and the application server uses PHP and MYSQL to develop.Theapplication market system offer application market services for TV, and push a largemount of android application to end-user of TV. This thesis describes how to designand implementation the system in detail.The application market system could be divided into two parts in the thesis.Thefirst one is the Android market client for android TV, which take charge of themanagement of local application and network application. Another part is WEB serverwhich was used to manage application and provided communicate interface forandroid client. The thesis describes the whole Android Market System fromrequirements, design, and overall framework to the implementation detail of eachsubsystem and the final test. Our design of Android Applicaton Market System hassome practicability and universality in practice.
