With the rapid development of science and technology in the late1990s, concept of Digital Home was introduced into China. As a result of thedevelopment of economic and technology, our demands for good life experiencegrew rapidly, as well as the requirements of living environment increased. At thiscondition, home intelligence has become an indicator for measuring the quality oflife, and an inevitable trend of social development.As Android1.0and the first Android phone came to world, android stood outin many operating platforms, the trend of development kept increasing, and just ina few years, the market share of android had ranked first in the world. It is notdifficult to find that future intelligence platform market will be surely basedon the Android-led. Android development is an intriguing prospect and greatopportunity. However, the terminal system which is based on Android andfunctions integrated is limited and expensive. Digital Home based on Androiddevelopment stays still in a state of low-level and chaotic system. So at thiscondition, under the premise of guaranteeing quality, how we can avoid a chaotic,repetitive and low efficiency development of digital home system is the startingpoint for this paper.In this paper, based on the android platform, the author studies the generalway of formation of a digital home system in the phenomenon of various of similarsystems, and analyzes the characteristics of basic modules and the mutual links.Then, the author proposes the class library design ideas of development of digitalhome system based on Android platform. Led by this idea, the common classlibrary for development is designed and realized, which describes the practicalsignificance and basic functions of five components of digital system abstractly.The five components are Framework, Home element, Communication, Storage,and Display. Reflected in the actual development, this common class library showsthe advantages of shortened product development cycles, and improved compatibility, reliability and scalability of product and so on. The proof of thecorrectness of the class library is provided, through the using of class library tomake a quick assembling of system, and through the test of its functions.
