The clock extraction based on fiber optical parametric oscillator is a technology ofall-optical information processing. The technology is capable to extract clock signalfrom input optical data. The system based on this technology can perform the functionof clock extraction under the condition of super high-speed data rate while changingwavelength in broad band instantly. As a result, it is wildly used in all-optical3Rregeneration systems, also one of the key technologies and main research domains inthe future high speed communication systems.This dissertation mainly includes work as following:(1) Accomplished a lot of surveying on all-optical extraction systems inexistence, summarized the advantages and application prospect for them and finallyestablished the meaning and value of this research.(2) Theoretically researched into Four Wave Mixing (FWM) and parametricamplification process in fiber optical parametric oscillator. The discussion is focused onthe generation, lasting condition, and gain characters of single pump fiber opticalparametric oscillator which is analyzed with small signal model. Thus the theoreticalfoundation of the following experiments can be set.(3) Developed the experiment of all-optical clock extraction based on fiberoptical parametric oscillator, and researched into the performance of10Gbit/s clockextraction with1.6nm wavelength conversion interval. The result shows that theoptimized pump power range is8~14dBm. When the amplitude and phase jitter are lessthan2.2mV and3.5ps respectively, the clock extraction system is processed with jittersuppression ability. The slopes of the corresponding input/output transfer curves areabout0.29and0.16, respectively.(4) The factors which affect the stability of FOPO system are analyzed, and thestability experiment based on the FWM idler power is accomplished. The scheme is ofhigh practical value because it will ensure the long-time stable work of FOPO system.The phase and amplitude jitter of clock signal extracted are less than1.5ps and6mV,respectively.
