By virtue of its self-luminous, fast response, low operating voltage, small panel thickness,wide operating temperature range, wide viewing angle and can be made to large-size flexiblepanels, organic light-emitting diode display (OLED) has broad application prospects.Currently, OLED is becoming the most popular display technology.OLED driver can be passive matrix driver (PM) or active matrix driver (AM). PMOLEDhas simple structure, but its performance is not suitable for large-size display. AMOLEDwhich based on the TFT substrate has more complex structure, but its performance is suitablefor large-size and large amount of information display.TFT (thin film transistor) can be made through a variety of processes. Currently, themost popular TFT is based on amorphous silicon, polycrystalline silicon and metal oxide.Oxide TFT achieved a good trade-off between mobility (performance) and low cost. Atpresent, the metal oxide TFT substrate manufactured techniques development rapidly. Amatched drive technology is needed.In the first part of this thesis, we introduce the working principle of the AMOLED,andanalyze the common AMOLED drive methods. Then, based on the fact that the presentprocess technology of metal oxide-based TFT AMOLED is immature and lack of a dedicateddriver chip, we have chosen the LCD driver chips to use as AMOLED’s gate driver and sourcedriver, FPGA as the AMOLED’s timing controller. We have designed the gamma correctionreference voltage circuit according to the characteristics of the TFT, OLED and the driverchip. The display signal interface circuit was also designed. Finally, a display system of metaloxide AMOLED display was completed. We achieved the goal to verify the feasibility of theTFT technology. And a testing and adjusting system of the AMOLED display performancewas designed base on the display system. A testing and adjusting method was designed andthe testing and adjusting information was sent back to the substrate design and fabricationprocess to promote the development of the design and manufacture technology of AMOLEDsubstrate. At the same time, the design details and electrical parameters of the AMOLEDdisplay driver were explored. The preliminary exploration work for the follow-up of the oxideAMOLED display driver IC custom design was completed.
