A variety of novel nanostructures and materials are extremely competitive in the design and manufacturing of future compact photonics and electronics devices, among which one-dimensional nanostructure draws a lot of attention because of their novel properties in mechanics, thermodaynamics, optics and electromagnetics. In this article we tried several ways to synthesize some kinds of typical nanowires, and characterized them with AFM, SEM, UV-Vis and micro-Photoluminescence.In details, we use ethylene glycol (weak reducing agent) to synthesize silver nanowires with the help of PVP (Polyvinylpyrrolidone) as the surfactant. We also tried to control the morphology of silver nanowires with different ratio of the agents and temperature. In addition, ZnO nanowires are synthesized by CVD, with which we can achieve some new devices. During the fabrication of the devices, we turn to the so-called "bottom-up" strategy and photolithography technology. After Ⅰ-Ⅴ test, it is found that these devices are perfect resistive-switches. In the last part, we investigated the possibility of tuning the PL spectrum of these devices by using electrical field.
