Voice Over IP Management Within Organization

Now the integration of communications into a single Network has been developed in the world of communications such as Voice and Data are migrating into a single network, that is called convergence, and it will be revolutionizing the world of telecommunications by slashing and saving money, the convergence Technology is called VoIP or Voice over IP.The purpose of this thesis was to develop as Information system for Voice over Internet Protocol network via Web management, this system used Asterisk open source Software as IP-PBX to manage Telephony platform. In the system development, I used to process the system approach as follows:analysis, design, development, testing and assessment.The methods of operation by according to the Information of Lao Asia Telecom (LAT) Company that has used the VoIP system to develop the communication within organization, which has five networks at countryside and a main network and each network can link between them via satellite transmission by having the Hub station of satellite is center at a main network, which five networks as the clients and a main network as both service provider and client, which a main network will use a FXO as a Gateway for connecting to PSTN and five networks will use the FXS for connecting to IP Phones.The system was developed under open sources software:Knoppix Linux as operating system, PHP language as Programming tool, and MySQL as a Database management system on the Asterisk for storing Data and Asterisk as IP-PBX.The Program was assessed by general users and experts by using assessment forms, general users’ scores and Experts’ scores, which results are displayed that Program will have the efficiency and quality at a good level or not and could be used in the real situation.
