With the development of computer science and Internet technology, handling official business by using all kinds of application systems within enterprise is becoming popular, and towards the direction of the paperless office. Meanwhile, along with the accelerating speed of information gathering and transmission, and the increasing demand for mobile office, traditional sense of the internal network can not meet the need of data exchange during cross-regional, inter-provincial, as well as large multinational enterprises. The need of the formation of a broad network in enterprises, which enables remote mobile terminals to access the enterprise intranet, is becoming more and more urgent. How to provide a convenient and safe interface for both users and managers while identifying the users’ identities to ensure the safety of the network entrance is a serious problem during enterprise intranet construction.Unified identity authentication technology is designed to address the access terminal identification problem, while providing a unified interface, which allows users to perform login operation only once to access any authorized applications in the intranet. Traditional authentication systems can either not meet the requirements to provide a unified interface, or not play an effective role in identification, which brings hidden defects to the intranet.By analyzing the status of the mobile terminals’ secure access to the intranet of electric enterprises, and taking the architecture of enterprise intranet secure access platform into consideration, this thesis made key investigation on unified authentication system, and then designed and coded on basis of the investigation, and finally implemented a unified authentication system. While combined with the application of Unified directory service in electric enterprises, the system implemented the function of single-sign-on, which is convenient for users to use, and also reduces administrators’ workload for maintaining user information. This unified authentication system not only ensured the safety of the terminals’ accessing, but also made strong verification to the administrators, which effectively prevents the invasion from the management part. The unified authentication system is an important part of the whole Secure Access Platform Architecture. It is the first line of defense for the enterprise, and also the most important guarantee for all those follow-up security measures.
