This dissertation comes from "the key scientific and technological project of Henan Province"(No.102102210409)"Construct Logistics Domain Ontology Public Information Platform" and "basic researchprojects of Education Department of Henan Provincial"(No.2009B520014)"Research on OntologyStudying Technology Based on Semantic Web".With the rapid development of the logistics industry, modern logistics present more and moreinformation, network, automation, intelligence, and standardization of development trend, improve theefficiency, reduce logistics cost, satisfying the needs of customers is the fundamental principle of modernlogistics. Modern logistics is highly dependent on the management of large quantities of data, informationanalysis and processing, but in the field of logistics enterprise, different between different sectors existingheterogeneous data structure and semantic heterogeneity of serious defects, data application value low,sharing the problem of poor more and more apparent, this seriously hindered the logistics improve thequality of our service. Logistics information standardization is the foundation of the development ofmodern logistics business, information sharing has become an inevitable trend of the logistics industry.The main job of construct logistics domain ontology relational database including construct logisticsdomain ontology and the construction of the domain ontology relational database. By inquiring thedomestic and foreign relevant documents, with the existing ontology which can realize resources sharingand solve the semantic heterogeneity to solve the breach of the logistics information, analyse andunderstand the construction rules of domain ontology, define a suitable construction method for logisticsdomain ontology, in-depth analysis the logistics information at home and abroad, and the research achievements of the logistics industry and the series of standards and guidelines in our country, lastly basedon the characteristics of the database for mass storage, discuss and study on construct logistics domainontology relation database thoroughly.The principal work accomplished in this paper is as follows:Firstly, through analyse the modern logistics industry business process, collect the field of relatedterms to rearrange and classification, with national standard "logistics public information platformapplication development guidelines-the main documents" as an example, through the establishment of theconcept of domain ontology to design a general logistics domain ontology, which can integrate and expressthe relevant information. In the process of building, using rich semantic expression ability of ontology tosolve the information heterogeneous of structure and semantic.Secondly, define a new storage method for the logistics domain ontology, focuses on the mothd ofhow to organize the ontology in the case of semantics as far as possible to the relational database. Thepaper uses OWL as a standard ontology language, a method of relational database storage model wasdesigned to store the ontology, some key issues on storage such as property characteristics and propertyrestrictions were studied. To construct a logistics domain ontology relational database, and to ensure thatdomain ontology storage to relational database in the semantic integrity.Thirdly, put forward a method of use SQL structured query language inquires the logistics ontologystroaged in relational database, and design a case to test and verify the method of storing and searchingOWL ontology based on relational database.
