Oil extraction has a long history. In the early20s, the advent of power screw press machine made oil industry realize mechanization and continuous production. At the same time, solvent oil extraction method with the new technology was used in the factory and then the world oils and fats industry had entered the modern production stage. However, when the world’s first oil extraction plant was set up, there were no fire safety rules and so the oil extraction factory had some fire and explosion accidents due to lack of experience and random rules. Therefore, the security monitoring of the oil production site is particularly important. The video surveillance system is an integral part of the security guard system, it is a strong ability to guard against the integrated system. It is on this basis proposed a combination of embedded systems and wireless network technology solutions to the grease-site security monitoring.Starting with embedded video surveillance system’s essential purpose, this paper has a research on the characteristics of embedded system, applications, wireless transmission technology application and development. According to the requirement of production site monitoring, it arouses the general design scheme, the software and hardware platform with embedded video server and client software based on ARM9, wireless transmission technology and embedded linux technology.The detailed design of the surveillance system server and client hardware circuit, the server side and client-side circuit is substantially the same, in the design of hardware circuit, divided from the overall system function modules, each module interface circuit to achieve, design a more detailedinterface circuits, including power, reset, USB interface, at the same time, the selection of the wireless LAN and the camera gave an explanation, so that the whole hardware circuit to meet overall system requirements.In this research, linux bootloader and its function are discussed in depth and specific compiling and transplanting process are given. At the same time, it puts forward a more complete solution including revising, compiling and transplanting the linux source code and kernel cutting. It finishes the design of the video monitoring system’s master-slave system and software, realizing all the function requirement of the video monitoring system. By means of this design, including hardware circuit design, software platform and upper application software’s compiling and transplanting. From it, my ability to think independently, find and solve problems is promoted, which brings me much valuable experience. All of it will laid solid foundation for my finishing large project in the future.
