Design And Implementation Of Selenium Automation Test System

With the rapid development of the software testing industry in our country, more and more testing teams choose to use automation tools instead of manual testing to improve test efficiency and resources utilization. However, automation business software is very expensive. As an open source web test automation tool set. Selenium provides the tools support for the testing team which building automation test system with its easy to expand, strong compatibility and easy to use.This paper use the Nokia internal testing site as the target site, set up web automation test system based on Selenium RC. Debugging test code in Eclipse IDE using Java language, Saving test configuration and test data using Excel. Create test case suite dynamically and driving test execution using unit test framework TestNG. Create test report easy to be analysis using ReportNG and LoggingSelenium. Operating windows form using Auotlt3. Compiling, executing test code and send test report using Ant as the build tool. Locating HTML web page elements using Selenium IDE, Firebug and XPather on the code debugging phase.Till now, all the development work of test system is completed. Realize the testing of target web site including the functions below:UI check, music search, account sign in, music purchase, music download, etc. In practical work, test system perform the web site test during nightly non-work time and send the test report to the manual tester to make the daily working plan of manual testing team.However, although automation test have a lot of benefit, it cannot replace the manual test totally, a complete test plan need to be made to define the cover range of automation test before using it.
