Design And Implementation Of Software Testing Automation Management System Based On Selenium

With the decades of development, the Internet has been transformed and affected lots of traditional industries, many companies want to hang on the Internet. This directly led to the online travel, online real estate, online video, e-commerce, Internet banking and other industries formed on the Internet. Currently, most web applications are developed in accordance with the agile development model, we need to run a lot of repeat test cases within a limited time to ensure that the new feature of iterative development and verify the functionality of the previous delivery. This is a serious challenge for the software testing engineers. On this occasion, it is very necessary to select the appropriate automation test tool to replace the manual testing, compatibility test for multiple browsers and to improve test efficiency.Based on the above background, our company’s testing department is also facing the pressure. So we combine our company’s developing environment and features to research related skills and analysis requirements. Finally, we designed the automation test framework based on the Selenium and based on the framework to achieve the automation test management platform. The system can be divided into two parts to achieve. The first part is the test script executed on the test machine. Mainly extraction can be automated functional part for web applications to access the different systems, different services and mainstream browser, and in the Selenium framework for the second design and development for those who can automated functional to complete the calling and writing for test automation script. The second part is the web management system running on the server. The main function contains: automated script task construction, deploy the test environment, test cases run, test result analysis and generate test reports and so on.Through the implementation of the automation platform, the project automation test process can be better controlled and the automated test script can be extended. Testers can manage the data and test results by the Web platform, and have a good understanding of the effect of automated testing in the test process. The results of this research have improved the management of automation testing, as well as the automation of script maintenance and redevelopment costs are significantly reduced.
