| As the importance and high efficiency of the automation testing skills in the software development life cycle, the automation testing tools are applied to software testing area increasingly. Currently, there are many popular automation testing tools, such as Mercury Interactive Win Runner, LoadRunner, IBM RFT, Robot, HP QTP, Segue Silktest and so on. Compared to manual testing, these automation testing tools perform many advantages in functionality and performance testing, but they still have restriction and disadvantage in real project, and cannot make testing fully automated.The thesis focuses on researching the restriction of automation testing tool Silktest. Design and develop a flexible and full function automation testing system. Implement the automation testing system on Moxy product, which is developed by Advent Software. Flowing is the realized function of this system.1. The system devise ways to implement fully controlling application objects include object recognition, script storage and object extraction.2. The system can cover test operation on objects and handle unexpected windows during testing and timing control problems.3. The system redesign the result file to add some customized information such as the check at point. Use the compare tool to display the failed information in detail. Help software testing engineer find the failed point and the specific reason.4. The system connects to application database through ODBC and implements database automation testing, such as inserting, updating and querying the data.5. The system designs the final results to help software testing engineer analyze final results, which is better than other automation testing system. The scripts connect to and invoke the API of the test case management system, search key points from the test results, as well as the system and testing environment parameters. Then uploads these key results to the test case management system automatically for testing results management. |
