With the rapid development of the computer and the network communication technology, as well as the growing strength of China’s science and economy, the digitalization and networking of broadcast and television industry have received much attention. At present, audio mixing console equipment widely used in domestic radio stations has been converting gradually from the analog audio mixing console to the digital one, even the networking audio mixing console. Networking digital audio mixing console, the combination of embedded technology and network technology, represents the future direction of the development of the audio mixing console.This paper discusses elaborately about the design of the software and hardware of communication control subsystem of the audio digital mixing console. At first, it introduces the current development of the audio mixing console in short. Then it puts up the overall structure and the function of each module of digital audio mixing console designed in this article and emphatically analyzes the function of the main control module. At last, the scheme for communication control subsystem is put forward.This article designs an audio mixer communications control subsystem using the STM32F107VC microcontrollers and its software platform is based on the μC/OS-Ⅱ operating system. In terms of hardware design, the article mainly introduces the circuit design about Ethernet interface, CAN bus module and STM32F107VC microcontrollers on Cortex-M3core. And in terms of software design, firstly, the paper introduces the transplantation ofμC/OS-Ⅱ operating system and that of LwIP protocol stack in this operating system. Secondly, it verifies the feasibility of the application of μC/OS-Ⅱ operating system and assigns the multiple tasks according to the function of communication control subsystem of audio mixing console. Thirdly, it analyzes the function of each task and gives their programming flowchart. Finally, the paper tests the overall performance of the audio mixing console system and the result has showed that all the features of the mixer communication control system have been realized, and the system has been running in a good condition.The mixer communication control subsystem achieved by the master module is one of the vital factors determining the overall performance of the audio mixing console system. This article from both hardware and software aspects designs and realizes a stable and reliable audio mixer communications control subsystem.
