Over the past30years since reform and opening up, Chinese economy has been keeping a sustainable and fast development; the comprehensive national strength and international status have been greatly promoted. But the International environment still lies in crisis, and sometimes local war brakes out. China is a large country and the boundaries are long. Frontier forces are holding the duty of ensuring the state peace and stability. In order to adapt to the demands of the new situation, we need to keep open mentality, to enhance our logistics supporting capability through various ways, and to improve the troop’s capability.With the development of computer, information and communication technology, the modern war is dominated by high-technology, and has entered into the information era. Under the information conditions, the battlefield space becomes multi-dimensional, and the war power becomes diversified. The firearms and operational modes become high-tech equipped and complicated, and the battle environment becomes transparent to the enemy. The current method of army uniform management by hand couldn’t meet and adapt the needs of the military Informationization. In the mean time, the border force has many specialties such as it covers many aspects, it is highly decentralized, the traffic is inconvenient, and the army uniform management period is long with heavy burden. This is an important part of military logistics management. So it is necessary for us to set up an army uniform information base, to conform standard protection system, to strengthen the security forces and to establish efficient safety munitions security system.According to the requirements in army uniform management of the frontier forces, we would adopt C#.Net and network technology, database technology to design and research this system. The system discussed in this thesis is based on.Net development platform. Through the demand analysis and feasibility analysis, the author designed an army uniform management system by using Client/Server architecture. This system includes eight function modules:the basic information management, the sheet management, the army uniform standard management, the file management, the budget management, the final settlement management, the financial management and the system maintenance. This thesis mainly discusses the requirements analysis of the army uniform management system, the designing of system function modular, the planning of the system network structure, and the implementation of the system database. Tests show that this system is able to complete materials procurement plan, purchasing, storing, budgeting and settlement budget procedures. It helps to set up detailed staff information and army uniform information for the frontier force as well, and can be used to increase the efficiency of the army uniform management and to reduce its cost.
