R In recent years, the development of the national teaching evaluation of highervocational schools and the implement of the project of constructing nationaldemonstrative higher vocational colleges，has boost the construct and development ofhigher vocational schools. Not only base station has been greatly improved, but also intechnology and software technology. In a way, I think the construction of a digitalizedlibrary is imperative. It’s believed that the construction of library is a short cut to meetthe trend of an informatized, networked, digitalized library with small investment.Considerate the construction of digital library of Yunnan College of BusinessManagement, I will discuss the utilize of grid technology in the following.The grid is a new technique based on the Internet, providing a large number of dataresources and interactive user for users and technical staff and integrating high-speedInternet, high-performance computers, databases, sensors, remote equipment to anetwork entity, so users in the use of calculation storage resources often has sometransparency. That is to say, the grid is a hardware and software infrastructure, and toachieve the basic structure of all common resources on the Internet access, reliable andconsistent. Because of the appearance of the grid technology, many of the technicalproblems of the digital library’s construction can be solved. Of course, its applicationremains to be researched and found, So with the development of the technology, theprospect of the digital library system is considerable.Based on the above objectives, this paper studies the main work includes thesepoints:First, in the concept of digital library, comprehensively analyses and introduces thecharacteristics of digital library and the developing situation of domestic and foreigndigital library construction. We can find the gap between the construction of digitallibraries in our country and foreign developed digital library constructions. Byanalyzing the lack of construction of digital libraries in our country, this paper putforward corresponding countermeasures. On the other hand, introduces the concept and characters of grid technology, draws the combination of grid technology and digitallibrarySecond, from the previous concept to the digital libraries’ grid architecture, thispaper gives the basic thought of grid architecture, Analyses the essential keytechnologies of building metadata in the digital library, such as grid management andinformation services, resource management, task management, security control, userinterface. The original point of this paper is giving the idea, based on grid architectureof the digital library construction, to compatible with the Web Service standards,advance metadata from the object level with WEB Service resources as interoperablefoundation, Create an opportunity to OGS and Web-sharing platform, define a commondigital library architecture, and analyses the key technology for digital libraries grid.Third, finally describe the design and achievement of the functional module ofdigital library of Yunnan Economic Management College.
