With the development of science and technology, non-photorealistic rendering has become a hot topic, a growing number of scholars engaged in non-photorealistic rendering technology. In Western countries art simulation technology of watercolor and oil painting with Western painting art features is relatively mature, however,in the domestic development of non-photorealistic rendering starts so late that art simulation technology of the Oriental Art features is not mature enough. Chinese ink painting as a representative of the Oriental Art, Ink style has achieved certain results at present, but there are still many needs to be improved and further research, this paper is mainly engaged in Ink style.First, this paper research contour extraction technology, combined with object space and image space contour extraction algorithm, above all based on the smooth surface of the graphic space contour extraction algorithm detects the contour, then curvature graph of model controls the width of contour in order to the better the contour.And then internal rendering of ink style technology is studied. Internal rendering is to make the model coloring, according to the model of light reflection, besides the distance of the model and the light source has a effect on light reflection, so the calculation of the amount of light reflection considers the fact.Also we study ink and color rendering, and introduce KM color theory to achieve pigment simulation. Nomal disturbance realizes concavity of Ink style of coloring and solve the trouble of the local larger area with the same normal resulting in poor coloring effects to a certain extent.In addition, the author further studies the simulation technology of Ink characteristics. Using the Gaussian blur technology simulates the ink penetration effects, the use of the expansion algorithm is thought to generate alpha control template to complete ink diffusion simulation what’s more, the Ink-style rendering supports the rice paper background integration, as well as adds poetry and seal, to further enhance the characteristics of ink painting style. In the process of implementation of Ink-style algorithm, the author combines fullly the characteristics of the current graphics hardware, use Cg to write Vertex Shader and Pixel Shader programming, and shift some algorithms from the CPU to the GPU to achieve GPU accelerated processing, greatly enhance the Ink-style rendering of the frame rate to meet the real-time rendering of large scene of ink painting style.Finally, through the combination of shadow-style rendering, the production of3D animation with characteristics of traditional Chinese art shows the practical value of the Ink style.
