As a new generation of recognition technology, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is known as one of the most valuable and prospects of emerging te-chnologies. It is changing our lives in an unexpected way. In the field of medical, logistics, traffic management and national defense, RFID provides people with a lot of convenience. Currently, promotion of RFID applications to the general consumer becomes the new bottleneck of the development of RFID technology. As the basis of the RFID application software, middleware technology is replacing the traditional way for application development. The RFID middleware technology can reduce the cost of enterprise development application and provide a more reliable device management, connectivity, the original tag information filtering and trans-coding, reducing the burden of application-layer system. Though long-term practice, many domestic and foreign research institutions and manufacturers gradually introduce their own RFID middleware products and solutions. These products or solutions are different in architectures and implementations. This thesis proposes a new distributed RFID middleware architecture, elaborate on the implementation of its various levels, modules, including the central management server, the ALE server, the Edge Server, the messaging module, information management module, and algorithms. Also including the algorithm of real-time label, multi-level load balancing algorithm based on cloud data center. Finally, a simulation-based RFID middleware system tests are conducted. The industry has two kinds of distributed RFID middleware architecture-the ConnectionPool and Agent.
