The development of the wireless communication and radar technology has a higher requirement, on the one hand, they need to have good antenna communication characteristics;on the other hand, they must have a high stealth characteristics.This paper considers an ultra broadband antenna project, focusing on the analysis of frequency selective surfaces technology and the RCS,designing broadband stealth characteristics of a monopole antenna. We can solve some problems, including the following:1The radiation characteristics of the antenna and radar scattering section is studied and analyzed. In this paper, we will analyze the frequency selective surfaces technology, and use the equivalent circuit method to analyze several common unit structures.2Combination with the main work of my graduate study, we will introduction the FSS apply on absorbing structure and designing of the radome, which can provides the solutions to the antenna stealth design.3We need to ensure the design order on the radiation and stealth characteristics. In the paper, we integrated FSS into antenna to reduce the RCS;meanwhile, through arranging the unit, we can change the antenna face distribution circuit, which can have a better control on the antenna gain.The main design target of band-pass radome and stealth antenna are as follow:(?) Band-pass radome FSS structure have the band pass bandwidth>5GHz in the K band, transmission loss<-1dB, the thickness of the structure<5mm, transmission characteristics have a good stability in the angle range<70°(?) The antenna has a good stealth characteristic in the X band. RCSOdB in the each horizontal plane angle, and in the whole X band it has the RCSOdB in every angle; Meanwhile, the VSWR of the antenna communication frequency band100M-400M<2.5,the whole band gain>-6dB,the gain non-roundness of the antenna in the horizontal plane direction<3dB.
