With the communication users’ higher demands of high-speed data service, the commercial pace of LTE-OFDM system is approaching. Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) produced by OFDM system has become a problem need to be researched and solved in academic researching and engineering designing. The paper has summarized the research aim, the definition of PAPR and super-infra boundary problem, algorithm criterions are introduced. Based on this, two achievements have been finished in this paper.Firstly, According to the LTE agreement, the algorithms in the predistortion technique such as Clipping and Filtering, Extension and Compression and the probability technique such as TR, ACE, SLM and the newest improved algorithms are summaried and choosed, simulated with MATLAB in detail, and then the results and algorithm complexity are compared, analysed and evaluated. To provide the technical basis for academic researching and engineering designing. At last, Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) and the improved algorithms are introduced, new algorithms are proposed:Location PTS and jumping window PTS. The theory and implementing process are introduced in detail. The performance and computation complexity are simulated and evaluated, According to the result of the simulation, the new algorithm can efficiently achieve the trade-offs between performance and computation complexity. compared with optimum PTS and near-optimum PTS algorithms;Jumping window PTS algorithm has low complexity than trellis PTS, the performance are not different obviously, when low complexity are requested, It’s better than trellis algorithm.
