As the evolution of LTE communication system, LTE-Advanced system is aimed toachieve more high date rate and wider bandwidth than those of LTE, which can supportvery high peak date rates in100MHz bandwidth, up to1Gb/s in uplink and500Mbit/s indownlink. In order to achieve the performance requirements and preserve backwardcompatibility to the legacy LTE system, carrier aggregation has been proposed by3GPP,which can realize broadband communication effectively by aggravating some discretecomponent carrier. The research subject in this thesis is sponsored by Zhongxing S&T Funds “Researchon the Technology of Efficient Carrier Aggregation”, and research key technologies ofcarrier aggregation. This thesis first gives a review on the background techniques ofLTE-A and carrier aggregation, and then focused on the optimal design of thetransmission of CSI and the interferences between component carriers in carrieraggregation. For the question of the transmission of CSI, this thesis firstly presents an effectivefeedback and encoding scheme, which can transmit all the CSI of the downlink CC inPUSCH, with the CSI being encoded by a new code called multi-RM; secondly, itproposes the algorithm of overlap encoding of multi-RM and its decoding algorithm.Compared with the scheme in current protocol, the integrality of CSI is improvedremarkably in the thesis, which is the direction of the standardization of3GPP. For thequestion of the interferences between component carriers, this thesis firstly analyze thefactors of interferences, followed by simulating the factor of frequency offset, and thenconcludes the disciplinarian between frequency offset and interferences and principle ofsetting guard band according to correlative theory.
