In the recent years, the Wireless Local Networks(WLANs) have achieved a tremendous amount of growth because of its convenience, mobility and extendibility, high credibility and quick transmission, and the WLAN technology is widely used in all areas of society. At the same time, people have focused more attention on the performance of the WLAN under any different environments.Because of the data transmission of IEEE802.11WLANs using a wireless channel, its unreliability decides that the performance of WLANs will be affected by a variety of collisions and interfere. People is much more interested in the real throughput performance of WLAN, then many analytic models have appeared. Most of the researches of WLANs base on Bianchi’s Bidimensional Markov Model at present. This paper is based on the two-dimensional Marco chain model taking into account the actual transmission of network proposed by our research group. The model analyzed the IEEE802.11DCF access mechanism for a non-ideal channel in non-saturated conditions, deriving the expressions of non-saturated throughput. Then considering the more general case that the backoff and retry is not different, the model got the saturated throughput about the different backoff and retry depending on the original model. The main work of this paper is to further validate the accuracy of the model by setting the different simulation scenarios which mainly considers the relationship between the throughput of non-saturated system and the packet arrival rate under the conditions change in the number of wireless stations, the channel bit error rate, data frame length and the backoff and retry. The simulation results show that the model can predict and analyze the transmission performance of DCF in non-saturated conditions. In this paper, the simulation and validation of the improved model has some practical significance for improving the accuracy of network performance analysis.
