Diseases especially chest diseases has been one of the fatal factors for people. Since there are no effective measures for a timely prevention of illness, the current examination of people is the key measure for early discovery, early diagnosis and early treatment, increasing the cure rate of diseases. In the current examination procedure of diseases especially chest diseases, the number of digital radiograph images are analyzed by the radiologists by screening programs, manual reading is labor intensive and time consuming. The computer diagnosis system for diseases is proved to be important in the screening programs. In recent years, image enhancement processing and morphology analyzing based on digital radiograph images has been one of the most important and difficult problems. The research in this area has great theoretical value as well as important social significance.The research methods of digital radiograph system for diseases is presented in this paper, the main contents are described as follows:Traditional histogram equalization is applied to digital radiograph image enhancement processing. It is difficult to get a good image. In the image local methods are used to different parts with different contrast enhancement methods. Advanced histogram equalization algorithm is self-adaptive. The experiment shows self-adaptive histogram equalization has good effects on digital radiograph image processing.Traditional dual energy subtraction algorithm is related to original X-ray. Advanced dual energy subtraction algorithm is based on some reference points and has nothing to do with original X-ray. These reference points are gotten completely smooth. Using dual energy subtraction equation, we can get the soft tissue image and the bone tissue image. The quality of images is improved. Advanced dual energy subtraction algorithm is stable.To investigate the clinic value of digital radiograph with dual-energy subtraction in the diagnosis of diseases especially chest. The soft tissue and the bone tissue images are obtained at the same time. Dual-energy technique can significantly improve the correct diagnostic rate of chest diseases and reduce misdiagnosed or missed out by digital radiograph imaging.In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
