Taking account of the cost, system reliability and other factors, the static out-put feedback control problem is extensively studied, and many results have been obtained for linear systems and singular systems. In this paper, we studied the static output feedback control problem for singular systems based on input-output finite-time stability (IO-FTS). The paper includes the following two parts:In the first part, we studied the static output feedback control problem for the continuous singular system based on IO-FTS. First, a new sufficient condition in the form of LMI is established to ensure the IO-FTS of the continuous singular system. The unknown matrix P is separated from the system matrix A, which is helpful for the design of static output feedback controller. Then, based on the result, a static output feedback controller is designed for the continuous singular system guaranteeing the1closed system is input-output finite-time stable. The last, for the time-invariant singular system, similar results arc given, and a numerical example is presented. In the second part, we studied the static output feedback control problem for the uncertain continuous singular system based on IO-FTS. First, a new sufficient condition in the form of LMI is established to ensure the IO-FTS of the uncertain continuous singular system. The unknown matrix P is separated from the system matrix A, which is helpful for the design of static output feedback controller. Then, based on the result, a static output feedback controller is designed for the continuous singular system guaranteeing the closed system is input-output, finite-time stable. The last, for the time-invariant uncertain singular system, similar results are given.
