The surveillance system include video surveillance, audio surveillance, fire alarm and so on. Video surveillance arrangement in traditional surveillance system has the limitations of transmission cables and hardware, it is difficult to achieve the remote monitoring. The customer access to data only in the specific location of the surveillance center; For one the fire alarm surveillance notify the user through a call or send short message only when the fire broke, the customer is difficult to keep abreast of alarm accuracy and situation on-site.In the light of the defect in the above monitoring system, this subject researches and designs a kind of monitoring system which can implement sending picture for fire alarm by network technology, communications technology, data compression technology and high-performance ARM processor technology. This surveillance incorporate remote image fire alarm and surveillance of audio and video, it collects image and audio and uploads to server in normal conditions, the customer can look over and download the video by logging on the WEB site. Once fire happens, the system begins to compress the image captured by front camera and sent multimedia message to client whose number saved in SIM card by GPRS module. The customer log on the MMS service center to download the multimedia and get the situation according to the service message.According to the function expected to achieve, this paper researches and designs the hardware and software of the surveillance system, which divided into the following five aspects:First, dividing the system into the following module on the different functions:video capture module, audio capture module, central processing module, local memory module, system software memory module, memory module, alarm module, GPRS module and network interface module; Second, according to the system requirements to select the main chip of each module and complete the circuit schematic and PCB map. Third, taking the WINCE6.0as operating system platform, building the system software development environment on personal computer. Fourth, system software is divided into two application program:the application of uploading video and audio and the application of image fire alarm, According to the requirements to clip the BSP, customize the WINCE6.0and the programming of the two application software; Finally, debugging the SIM900A module and complete MMS sending, program the operating system to the hardware circuit board, according to the problems, debug and modify constantly until complete the image fire alarm and uploading the audio and video to the server and get the expect functions.
