Recently, multi-carrier modulation techniques have attracted a great deal of attention fromresearchers in the field of communications. There are different forms in multi-carrier modulationtechniques. One special form of multi-carrier modulation is the well-known orthogonal frequencydivision multiplexing(OFDM), which has been widely used in wireless transmission. Comparedwith the single-carrier, OFDM systems turned out to be more robust against sudden channel fadingand impulse noise interference. Although OFDM systems have many advantages, there are somedrawbacks. In particular, the substantial overlap between adjacent sub-carriers introduced by theIDFT/DFT, which have poor spectral selectivity, makes the OFDM systems rather sensitive tonarrowband noises. In order to obtain good frequency characteristics, the multi-carrier modulationusing DFT filter bank is used to take place the IDFT/DFT.This thesis analyzes the poly-phase structure of the DFT filter-bank based multi-carriertransceiver. And then gives a new design method of the DFT filter bank transceiver by usingpoly-phase representation. We also present a method to design the DFT modulated filter-banks formulti-path fading channels. The DFT modulated filter-bank transceivers have the advantages of lowdesign and implementation cost. Through a lot of simulation examples, we analysis the spectralproperties of the DFT filter bank transceiver and the anti-jamming performance in multi-path fadingenvironment. And the simulation results show that good frequency characteristics and satisfactorySIR performance can be achieved.
