In the TV media of china, provincial satellite TV how to find their own position in the intense competition of the market become the key problem. Along with the communication technology continues to progress, not only the emergence of new media, but also each specific program schedule settings, competition is increasingly fierce. More and more provincial satellite TV to characteristics of the position is different from other media, and obtain very high ratings. The medium positioning is according to competitors in the media market segmentation,and the degree of importance of the audience in media certain attributes, create the ordinary image of medium, determ the location of the media or media content products in the audience’s mind. This article take the Jiangsu satellite TV station as an example, through analysis the positioning of emotional characteristics of Jiangsu satellite TV to explore its way of development. Basing on deeply analysis of Jiangsu satellite TV emotion positioning, detailed interpretation of emotional orientation strategy, on the basis of it summary up the successful experience.In this paper, the main content is divided into three parts.The first part, combined with the development trend of provincial satellite TV,use the text analysis method to demonstrate the necessity of channel positioning and characteristics of localization, and at the same time, Jiangsu satellite TV as the case, analyzes its emotional locating characteristic present situation and development trend.The second part, taking the emotion as the starting point, bring all times’and all countries’the emotional factors into the television dissemination environment, through to analysis the Jiangsu satellite TV channel localization and content, summarizes the characteristics of location advantage of emotions, including appealing to a wide audience, adapt to different TV communication environment and different audience emotional resonance.The third part, from the focus on creating emotional event programs," emotional characteristics emotional drama,"original position" reality show", organized large-scale emotional activities of the four aspects of Jiangsu satellite TV affective route strategy, and then summarize the enlightment from the feature localization of Jiangsu satellite TV to other provincial satellite TV.
