With the development of wireless communication, people have more and more needs for the network information and all kinds of network applications, the mobile data communications rate provided by3G system has already been too limited in some applications. The LTE (Long Term Evolution) communication protocol which is researched and suggested by3GPP is the evolution of the third generation mobile communication technology, it is also the most mature researched wireless access technology with the most extensive application prospect, its target is to reach100Mbps downlink and upstream of the peak rate50Mbps in20MHz bandwidth conditions. For the network has very limited capacity of business load, how to make massive mobile terminal successfully access the network will become an very important research in LTE system.In order to improve the efficiency of the random access based on femtocell home base station, the article designs the compatible random access module for the whole structure of the protocol stack. Random access technology as a key technology of communication system media access control (MAC) in LTE system, is the very way in which the user terminal accesses the network; its quality can directly affect the whole system. In order to meet the special requirements in system capacity and delay of LTE system, random access has become one of the emphases of research in LTE system. How to solve the user access collision and lowering the user access time delay are the main concerns of random access studies in LTE. The study of Random access technology of LTE system is the focus of this article, different type of random access technology in LTE system have been discussed. The whole protocol stack structure has been researching, testing and joint debugging in LINUX environment, the system has been tested stably.This paper first introduces the LTE technology, the basic structure of the air interface protocol stack and random access types and implementation principle, then the paper expounds the scheme of the module design, algorithm design and implementation of the scheme in a systematic way, finally, gives the improvement prospects and the future research direction of the scheme.
