The Research And Application Of Data Warehouse Model In Power Enterprise

Recent years, with the development of information technology in power industry, most power enterprises have higher requirements for the construction of information technology. The degree of integration among business applications need to further improve. The comprehensive analysis and decision support system should to be more intelligent. When the managers of power enterprise make decisions, they need a comprehensive understanding of business activities, but the information distributed in a large number of business systems. Therefore, the design of enterprise data model, uniform data standards and data services for enterprises, are particularly important to improve the level of management and competitiveness in power enterprises. Combined with statistical analysis and decision support needs, to establish data warehouse model, and so to build enterprise data warehouse and decision support systems, to provide all-round view of the enterprise-level management for enterprise managers effectively and efficiently, is the inevitable trend of information technology in power industry.Based on the data model typical design project of State Grid Corporation, this paper expounds the establishment of power enterprise data warehouse model (PE_DWM), achieve the unified data specification in power enterprises. Enterprise data warehouse provides data support for comprehensive analysis and decision support system and information technology applications by the unified data management and technical architecture. On the basis of in-depth study of the enterprise data model, data warehousing, ETL technology, this paper discusses the concept and characteristics of PE_DWM, the construction of data warehouse, data center architecture and ETL design, then verifies the results of modeling and ETL design in the audit of innovative projects. With the establishment of power enterprise data warehouse model, ETL design and extraction mechanism in data center architecture, to ensure the uniqueness and accuracy of the enterprise data, and to provide effective data support for the comprehensive analysis and intelligent decision support system in power enterprise.
