| As people’s living standards are being improved increasingly, people make higher and higher demand on the living environment. People that live in high-rise buildings all the time long for the return to nature. Nowadays, the application of ornamental plant has become an important indicator of whether a garden is good or not. Garden flowers are a significant part of ornamental plant. Meanwhile, they have more meaningful cultural connotations and play an important role in edifying people’s temperament, improving people’s health and upgrading people’s quality. They are good for the development of social civilization. Consequently, based on the application of expert system within the area of garden, to research and develop flower expert system using the computer technology is an important guarantee of increase in garden flowers appreciation values and human values.Through field trips in the gardens across Fujian province and exchange with the experts in the field of flowers for many times, the author, who reads lots of works, magazines, journals and many other references on flowers and uses the theories of landscape ecology, garden flowers studies, disposing and landscaping of garden plants, botany, plant physiology, soil science, entomology of landscape plant, garden plant pathology, and other disciplines, acquires a wealth of knowledge and expert experience about flowers. This thesis has collect information on flowers more than one hundred words and distinguishes and applies nearly1,000pictures all together. At the same time, through the analysis of the need of Fujian flowers knowledge, the thesis has classifies the system’s knowledge base content into four parts, that is to say, the fundamental knowledge base of flower, the knowledge base of common flower’s description, the knowledge base of application and design for flowers and the knowledge base of flowers specialist clinic.This system operates in Windows XP’s console. It is developed in the ground of Visual C++6.0and uses Access2003as its database, and the theories of knowledge base system. This system consists of knowledge base, database, inference engine, interpreter, and knowledge acquisition. This system has such functions as query, retrieval, diagnosis and database maintain.The research results are as following:(1)Through field trips and reference materials, this thesis has discovered that there are 76families212genus242species in Fujian’s gardens.(2) This system introduces the concept of flowers, classification, growth environment, knowledge of Propagation, flower application principles, application mode, disease and insect damage and control and other knowledge. The contents of disease and insect damage and control are matched with illustrations, which is easy for the user to study and query. This system also includes more than seven hundred photographs that prove the perfect effects of flower’s application in garden.(3)This system organizes every kind of flowers’specific name, family, generic name, scientific name, alias, classification, country of origin, morphological identification, flower pictures, ecological habit, cultivation technique and landscape application properly. The user can acquire the relevant information of the common herbs and flowers in Fujian province via this system. Meanwhile, according to the need of practical use, this system has set knowledge base’s key field, which is easy for the user to retrieve and query the relevant information.(4)Adopting mixed reasoning strategy, that is to say, combination of forward reasoning and backward reasoning strategy, according to abnormal symptoms of flowers in gardens, this system can make a quick, scientific and precise diagnosis and give diagnosis result.(5) In order to allow users to learn the correct operating method of the system in the shortest period of time, in this paper, for system overview, fundamental flower knowledge module, common flower’s description module, the browsing application examples module, diagnosis of abnormal flowers module, and background of expert management run a detailed description of the steps. |
