With social progress and improvement of living standards, more and more attention are paid to human health, the disease is still a major factor in the distress and hinder healthy. Information technology brings human convenience in the military, technological, security and other fields, and human beings are increasingly aware of the importance of Information technology in health care. Study based on image-guided surgery system in this paper is a combination of computer technology, space positioning technology and image processing technology, and its application in surgery. This research works with an actual project on the basis of the traditional kidney stones laser lithotripsy surgery, and we propose a surgery surgical navigation system based on spatial location with optical positioning equipment Polaris Optical Tracker(produced by NDI corporation) for kidney stone surgery to replace the traditional laser lithotripsy surgery and kidney stone surgery. The research in the first half of the article is mainly theoretical, and we discuss technologies in this project that are to introduced and improved in detail. Firstly, we analyze several imaging systems and images commomly used in medical field for ultrasound-based percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Then, the surgical navigation system, image segmentation and image registration techniques are studied and we made a lot of experiments. Finally, the surgical navigation system in the most critical positioning module and space transformation technique for the careful study of the applied focus this part of the content is later. The second half of this article is based on actual project, where we proposed and designed a set of ultrasound-based image-guided surgical navigation system. We applied image segmentation, image registration, spatial orientation and spatial transformation technologies to the navigation system based on phantom. Design ideas for the surgical navigation system is based on the first half of the theoretical research, due to the clear imaging characteristics of magnetic resonance, we set preoperative magnetic resonance images as a reference, and based on these, we design an actual preoperative image reading and analysis software, and set real-time ultrasonic imaging as intraoperative surgical image guidance. With the application of image registration techniques, preoperative magnetic resonance are registrated with intraoperative ultrasound. With the use of spatial orientation and spatial transformation technology in navigation system, a variety of devices and surgical instruments in the surgery can get the position and the unity of the space coordinates, these positioning data then transmitted to the image workstation for reconstruction of three-dimensional space, the surgery in the coordinate system showing the form of a virtual three-dimensional images, and intraoperative visualization operations, to ensure the safety of surgery and accuracy.
