Wireless Communication Network is a kind of multi-hop ad hoc network. It is composed by a large number of low-cost tiny sensors that deployed in a certain area. Sending the information to observer after cooperatively sensing, gathering and processing the information of the area covered by sensors are the main objectives of WSN. With the development of semiconductor, micro-system, communication and computer, WSN is considered internationally as the largest network after the Internet.Most of the current application of WSN is for observing variable information of a certain area. Without the location of sensors, it is impossible for us to acquire the information from assigned area. For the reasons above, we can get the conclusion that location is indispensable in WSN.This paper is based on a paper which is coauthored by Yue Wang, Sol Lederer and Jie Gao and released in INFOCOM2009. It is about the location of WSN. The algorithm proposed is able to localize sensors properly in2D. It conquers some weaknesses of range-based localization such as the need of high quality hardware, high energy consumption and vulnerability to environmental impact. It also overcomes some shortcomings of range-free localization such as the requirement of large amount of special sensors and limitation in self-organization. This paper mainly studied a localization algorithm with only connectivity information in WSN, discussed some problems I met when I was simulating this algorithm and presented solutions for these problems. In this paper, I simulate the algorithm mentioned above by using programming language C++. The program realized the establishment of a WSN, the procedure of localization of sensors in WSN and the display of localization result on screen by OpenGL. Based on the above program, this paper also realized the observation of the information of an assigned location. The simulation result demonstrates the refined connectivity-based localization algorithm is able to localize wireless sensors in WSN properly. It also implemented the targeted improvement.
