At present, the industrial robots which are used in production generally utilize teaching or off-line programming mode, and can only replay the pre-taught motions. Hence, they have low perception ability in handing objects and work environments. In recent years, computer vision featuring processing a large amount of information, high accuracy of detection, and wide range detection, has been applied in many fields, and provides a new way of extending industrial robot intelligence. Application of vision inspect technology based on image processing aims at saving human labor and improving reliability, thus promotes the efficiency and mass as well as the reduction of cost.In this paper, the actuality and development of Computer vision positioning technology are studied. According to the problem of image preprocessing during the process of the image, the algorithms of mean smoothing-filter, contrast enhancement, segmenting with self-adapted threshold are applied to get the best image for template matching, and an improved Canny operator is presented to detect the edge information in the proposed edge extraction algorithms of accumulation of sub-edge self-search. According to the location and matching of the components images, the position of the objection is analyzed quickly and accurately.This paper designs the framework of computer vision positioning system, analyzes the structural relationship of the function modules, and constructs the software system to validate the performance of the proposed algorithms. Experiments prove that the algorithms can achieve fast and effective with better usability, stability, and effectively improve the recognition accuracy rate of objection with good theoretical significance and reference value.
