Shanghai research and development center is the largest research and development center of Cisco Systems in China. There are thousands of network devices in the network laboratory,Such as modems, routers, switchers,10K and LineCard, and these devices are very expensive. These devices must be manipulated in a constant temperature environment. So they require a lot of refrigeration devices for controlling the temperature, and for themselves require a lot of electricity supply. According to statistics, for electricity consumption these devices will cost300,000Yuan monthly, but the40%of electricity consumption was wasted instead of being fully utilized. There are so many people in the laboratory so that they must share the device to use. And it will lead to more different for the devices management. The purpose of the tool is to decrease the power consumption, and provide a tool to centralize and manage Testbed and Powercycler in the lab. This paper is written for Cisco Lab’s Network Monitoring System. It bases on the MVC pattern, using EasyUI, SpringMVC, Spring and Ibatis framework composite technology, using cache technology and load balancing technology of mysql cluster, and combined with software engineering theory, conducted a requirement analysis, system design and system realization. Firstly determines the essential technology which this system needs to use, and carries on the detailed elaboration to it. Then, the system gets the requirement analysis in accordance with the business module, user module, functional module and non functional module to determine the systems some business logic requirements. In the system design stage, the system derives database design and interface design with the requirement analysis. In the detailed design stage, the system makes the detailed design on the main function of the system processes and the system architecture. In the system realization stage introduce the details of the realization of system’s main functions and the system architecture.
