Wireless sensor networks (Wireless Sensor Network, WSN) is calculated using a large number ofmicro sensor nodes self-organizing network through a collaborative approach to real-time monitoring, sensing and collecting various kinds of environments or test object information network. In recent years, aswireless communication technology and the rapid development of electronic device technology, so thatlow-cost, low power, multi-functional wireless sensor development and wide application as possible.Wireless sensor networks have been used in battlefield surveillance, environmental awareness, and searchand rescue and so on.In the interest area (Region of Interests, ROI) detection within the target event is a typical wirelesssensor network applications. However, the physical environment in which the WSN is more complicated, especially when the detected signal and the signal noise in the same order of magnitude when the signalnoise becomes prominent. Each individual node detection during the events likely to cause false positivephenomenon. In this paper, Based on research on the existing target tracking and the targetdetection mechanism and pointed out the major issues and challenges. the following three areas of workhas been done:1. First, for single node of wireless sensor networks to target detection, taking into accountthe limited storage capacity and energy problems, this paper design and present the distributed detectionalgorithm and make a single sensor node to determine, and the proposed algorithm basedon Bayesian theory, Neyman-Pearson criterion, has been analyzed the use of simulation and simulation.2,Secendly,for multi-sensor in wireless sensor network to target detection, the distributed detection algorithm that multi-sensor fusion strategy based on the decision to vote for the multi-sensor networks hasbeen proposed, the simulation in Matlab proved feasibility of the theory, effectiveness and superiority ofthe algorithm.
