With the development of times and the progress of science and technology, thepublic demand for the film and television visual quality has been graduallyincreasing. As we all known,the modern film and television had walked a longjourney,deriving from silent films to sound films, from sound films to colorfilms, from the initial simple recording to conveying information and expressingideas, the development of which reflects the progress of film-makingtechnology. As one of important film-making technology,Motion trackingtechnology had opened a new horizon for audiences, which was born in the1970s. Because of the lack of a new producing technology, manyproduces’creative ideas style was prevented from being shown on the screen.However, in1977the film "Star Wars" is regarded as a turning point in themovie history,which made a perfect combination of real men and computeranimation and also opened up a new field in movie and television production.Itwas the first film in the history by using motion control camera. Its director,Lucas also created a number of far-reaching inventions,including mechanicaldevice, which brought real pictures and comprehensive images.By analyzing the principle of the Motion tracking technology,the paperaims to provide a well-rounded understanding and systmetic information forthose who are very interested in this technology.The key point lies in the research for the Motion trackingtechnology,including its principle, image processing and its target for the filmand television.In chapter II, the historic development and classification of theMotion tracking technology are displayed clearly and in details. In chapter III,the author demonstrate the principle and the solution of the relative problemfor the Motion tracking technology. Finally, chapter IV has drawn theconclusion for the research issue.This paper is focused on the research in motion tracking technology of3d tracking technology. In the third chapter is divided into three parts of3dtracking research on the discussion. First to3d tracking technology principle ofare analyzed.3D tracking technology to picture of the proxy is tracking, sportstracking software using photographic measurement method for calculating thepath taken camera picture3D space information. Next is the3d tracking taskclassification.3d tracking technology has three missions: image sequencetracking, sports object tracking, motion capture techniques. The three big task,the key to track the basic process of image sequence in detail. The basic processof image sequence track is divided into: introduction, tracking, the solution,definition, output the several coordinate basic steps. In this section of this a fewsteps were discussed and process of the need for attention to matters and totrack, the solution, definition coordinates, problems and solving methods.Through the study of the theory of the preceding section, the theoreticalresearch in these simple application practice, in this section from the output ofthe preparation to last a detailed case synthesis practice analytical, validationand practice my theory research.
