Automatic IC chip welding wire machine, however, is a set of microelectronics packaging equipments which has benn developed by the College of mechanical and electrical engineering Guangdong University of Technology. The whole control system of Welding wire machine consists of industrial control computer, motor control module, analog/digital signal conversion and processing module, image processing and power module. Each of the above components, industrial control computer as the core welding wire machine control unit which to complete the entire control system management, scheduling and human-computer interaction function. The motion control card is the embodiment of motor control module which sends out pulse/direction control signal, receives and processes the motor shaft limit switch signal. The motor control module connecte to an industrial control computer through the PCI bus, wherein, the design of motion control card based on PCI bus is the focus of this topic.Based on the function principle and control method of motor control module of automatic IC chip welding wire machine, researching and designing the motion control card with two aspects as hardware circuit and software, debugging the manufactured PCB and giving a verification analysis to the experimental parameter.According to the design requirement, first, this paper determines the whole control scheme, and then, design and analysis the scheme. Second, the paper gives a particular design and analysis with three aspects as the implements of interface between industrial control computer and motion control card based on PCI bus, the design of driver for motion control card and the design of function library of motion control card. Finally, the paper gives an introduction to build and debug the PCB of motion control card.At the section of chip selection, select PLX’s PCI9052as the PCI interface chip, Novartis’s MCX314as the motion control chip, Altera’s EPM3128ATC100as logic control chip.At the design section of hardware circuit, the paper completes PCI bus interface module, local bus module, power supply module, a logic control module, manual mode module, connector interface module, as well as X, Y, Z, U axis control module.At the same time,completes the design and fabrication of motion control card.At the design section of software program, the paper mainly programs the configuration information of the serial EEPROM.At the Debugging section of hardware, the paper gives a verification analysis to the experimental parameter of motion control card; the results show that the design of hardware achieves the desired design objectives.
