With Internet’s fast growth and extensive development, online information from plain text and picture turn to video, audio stream. And these hugely entertain customer experience with Internet. Transmission of information is based on information carrier. HTTP and RTMP are main transmission protocol on application layer nowadays. HTTP characters for flexibility, usability and distributed. RTMP is a very efficient real-time and non-buffering protocol. HTTP and RTMP have been used by including popular video website as media information carner.Along with network growth, broadband extension and video enlargement on website, Internet users have higher pursuit for faster speed of video downloading, higher quality of pictures and more convenient accessing ways. People want to save online videos to personal computer, in order to watch them offline and on mobile device.Therefore, this project creates a cross platform Internet video system by combining video sniffing, downloading and transmission together. This system also could grasp NIC packets, make video URL analysis, and provide functions like multithread downloading, downloading progress and state management, watching while downloading, and continuing transfer from breaking point. This article also mainly introduces how to do module design at software development perspective, how to fight requirement change and how to overcome technical barriers under process. Finally introduce system result. By analyzing and testing, it is a full function system and of stable operation.
