With continuous development of the computer technology, computer simulation is widely used in various areas of scientific research and development. A series of purposive and conditional computer simulation experiments can be used to describe the characteristic of a system. Computer simulation results can provide a number of evidence for policy-maker when they make decisions. As the needs of science development, the computer load for simulation becomes lager and larger, the ability of a single computer can’t satisfy the request of the simulation performance. So the distributed simulation becomes a possibility. Distributed simulation platform is constructed by three-layer architecture. It can manage and use the computer resource reasonably and have a good expandability. Each subsystem can be organized and developed as a module, so each module has a good reusability and interoperability. It’s very suitable for the integration of the large-scale distributed simulation systems.The platform designed in this paper can be used for digital simulation of the high speed trains, a coupled scheduling system based on distributed system is designed and the implementation of the platform is discussed also. The paper contains three parts:the task scheduler, coupler and the execution sub-system. The task scheduler implements the registration of the coupling computer and executing computer. It receives the working conditions submitted by the ordinary users and deals with the working conditions, manages the multi-coupler and the load balancing at the same time. The task scheduler has the functions of managing the resources, scheduling the tasks and querying the resources and so on. The coupler has the responsibility to manage the distributed simulation work conditions, which is to control the time sequences of the coupler and the data’s trans-receiving of the working conditions. The host of execution computer is on the same network with task scheduler and coupler. They provide free resources for large-scale scientific computing, customize a UDP application-layer protocol and implement the network communications based on it.This paper firstly introduces the research background and significance of the research, the current situation at home and abroad, and the main research work. Then it describes the needs analysis and introduces the system design goal and functional requirements in detail. On this basis, each sub-system is described and designed particularly. Finally, the thesis makes function test of the whole system. Meanwhile, summarizes the whole design work, analyzes the current existing problems concerning the work, and pointes out some improvement for future research.
